Sparta Team Hotel

If you're reading the reviews just as I was before we stayed at Sparta Team Hotel, then don't be put off. We were slightly skeptical after reading some questionable reviews, but the hotel far exceeded our expectations; there were no bedbugs, no smoke in the room and the elevator was not loud. We stayed in the superior double room with private bathroom, so can't speak for the dorm rooms, but it was fabulous - the room was a great size, clean and had a balcony (even though it said it didn't come with one). We stayed for a week and would definitely stay again as it was such good value for money; the staff were lovely and very helpful, resolving any issues/queries we had quickly.

The staff has been very welcoming and kind. Even after the checkout (which was at 11:00) they let us leave our bags at the reception to go sightseeing. The hotel is located at 15/20 minutes from the historic center and 10 minutes from Monastiraki station. Rooms were clean and not once have we found the shared bathrooms dirty or unavailable. Great value for money.

If you need a place just for 8 hours of sleep then this is in a great location. Loads of places to eat out nearby but away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy a quiet nights stay. Stayed here twice and neither time we got a view like in the photos but it didn’t matter to us - just here to sleep! It was clean and it had air con. Friendly staff too.

I liked the staff, They are very friendly, They always ready to help. The room was very clean and AC is strong and it helped in cold weather. No need for remote control, closing the door of balcony let the AC to work automatically The place is near to the center of the city.

Friendly staff upon arrival, the room was clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy and the place was quiet. We had a great nights sleep and are staying here again. It is just round the corner from a fantastic taverna called Klimataria which was absolutely fantastic with traditional Greek live music and dancing!
