If you're reading the reviews just as I was before we stayed at Sparta Team Hotel, then don't be put off. We were slightly skeptical after reading some questionable reviews, but the hotel far exceeded our expectations; there were no bedbugs, no smoke in the room and the elevator was not loud. We stayed in the superior double room with private bathroom, so can't speak for the dorm rooms, but it was fabulous - the room was a great size, clean and had a balcony (even though it said it didn't come with one). We stayed for a week and would definitely stay again as it was such good value for money; the staff were lovely and very helpful, resolving any issues/queries we had quickly.

Seeing the reviews online, I was very worried and sceptical about this hotel. However, my stay at Sparta Team Hotel really exceeded my expectations. We were on level 3 in room 303, and there were absolutely no bed bugs or cockroaches, everywhere was clean and smelled great. Staff were friendly even when we accidentally left our room key inside. In the room there was even a mini fridge, which is definitely a plus.

The staff has been very welcoming and kind. Even after the checkout (which was at 11:00) they let us leave our bags at the reception to go sightseeing. The hotel is located at 15/20 minutes from the historic center and 10 minutes from Monastiraki station. Rooms were clean and not once have we found the shared bathrooms dirty or unavailable. Great value for money.

If you need a place just for 8 hours of sleep then this is in a great location. Loads of places to eat out nearby but away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy a quiet nights stay. Stayed here twice and neither time we got a view like in the photos but it didn’t matter to us - just here to sleep! It was clean and it had air con. Friendly staff too.

I really loved the staff, to be specific the blond lady, the receptionist was just amazing!!! I could say the same for her colleague with red short hair!!! They are just superstars!!!!! They were kind, polite and always willing to help us. Whatever we needed they just been on spot !!! Thank you girls for your hospitality!!!!
